Duration: 2 Year Apprenticeship
Start Date: January 2027
Location: London Bridge
Course: Digital Product Manager Level 4
Your team: You will be joining the Times Media - Product team. We shape the digital experiences of The Times and The Sunday Times, helping millions of readers discover, consume, and engage with our journalism across our website and mobile apps. You will collaborate in multidisciplinary groups across three main areas: Content, Customer experience, and Monetisation, working alongside engineers, designers, researchers, delivery managers, and colleagues from our newsroom and commercial teams.
Your role: As a Product Manager Apprentice, you will kickstart your career by learning how to identify problems, explore exciting opportunities, and build digital products for one of the most trusted news brands. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain hands-on exposure to the full product lifecycle from generating ideas to measuring success while investigating how emerging technologies like AI can enhance our offerings. You do not need prior product management knowledge; we are looking for a curious, tech-savvy mindset and an eagerness to understand how digital products operate.
Being an apprentice at News UK: During your time with us, you will earn above the national living wage while receiving comprehensive, hands-on training. You’ll work 4 days a week with News UK and spend 1 day studying toward a fully funded Digital Product Manager Level 4 qualification. Along with mentorship from top industry professionals, we will provide any tailored support you need to reach your full potential.
Day to day you will:
-
Understand our readers using research and analytics.
-
Experiment with new ideas, explore AI opportunities.
-
Work closely with design and engineering teams, to turn concepts into live features and use data to evaluate their real-world impact for Times subscribers.
What we're looking for from you:
-
We are looking for curious, tech-minded individuals with a passion for problem-solving and emerging tools like AI.
