Your team: The Merchandising team sits within Times Holidays, which is a division of the Commercial Travel department, based in London Bridge. The travel team is responsible for driving revenues through advertising and also selling holidays to News UK audiences via partnerships and its in-house travel agency; Times Holidays.
Your role: As the Merchandising and Campaign Manager, you will take ownership of the digital storefront for Times Holidays website and the CMS management and workflows relating to both product placement, link integration into Times Travel editorial content, and the holiday web page creations and user experience (UX), along with the analysis and next best steps based on the engagement and performance metrics across The Times Holidays website.
Reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships, you will have two Merchandising Executive direct reports, and will together manage how travel products, curated itineraries, and partner deals are visually presented, structured, and cross-merchandised on-site to maximise customer engagement, dwell time, and booking revenue from The Times audiences.
Day to day you will:
-
Own and continually optimise the homepage, landing pages, category hubs, and trip cards to ensure maximum visual impact, intuitive navigation, and smooth user flow.
-
Collaborate with the Holidays Product team to ingest curated itineraries and translate them into highly engaging, actionable online assets on the Times Holidays homepage.
-
Drive the overarching merchandising strategy to actively hit and exceed quarterly eCommerce revenue targets, conversion metrics, and shared team KPIs.
-
Publish curated content into the CMS, ensuring strict compliance with The Times style guide, overseeing tracking URL generation, and maintaining active affiliate link integrity.
-
Analyse traffic data, booking insights, and partner activity to compile performance updates, while maintaining financial administration for correct partner billing.
-
Partner with internal teams to align on-site merchandising, banners, and promotional landing pages with broader multi-channel travel campaigns executed by the marketing team.
What we're looking for from you:
-
An understanding of the online travel sector, including domestic and international trends, as well as specific categories like cruise, touring, and tailor-made itineraries.
-
Proven experience managing marketing campaigns, briefing creative design teams, and optimising consumer-facing communications.
-
Strong commercial acumen with experience in revenue tracking, forecasting, and analysing commercial contract metrics.
-
Advanced technical proficiency in CMS management (such as WordPress), Google Workspace, and workflow platforms to efficiently oversee digital content publishing.
-
Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management, enabling you to effectively spot errors, uphold quality control, and ensure deadlines are met across the team.
-
A collaborative and adaptable mindset, allowing you to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment and navigate a flat team structure seamlessly.
