Your team: The Travel Sales team is an externally facing multimedia sales hub dedicated to maximising market share within the travel industry. We focus on the cruise and touring sectors, leveraging advertising opportunities across print, digital, video, social, and radio to position News UK as an expert thought leader in the market.

Your role: You will drive multimedia sales by connecting leading travel clients with News UK’s highly engaged, multi-platform audiences. This is an exciting opportunity to craft bespoke, cross-channel advertising campaigns, elevate your industry profile, and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact commercial solutions.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop robust partnerships with direct clients and media agencies in the cruise and touring sectors, delivering creative and compelling advertising proposals.

  • Pitch and secure innovative, multi-channel solutions spanning print, digital, video, audio, and social media platforms.

  • Drive incremental revenue by proactively prospecting for new business, upselling additional advertising opportunities, and integrating campaigns with our retail operation, Times Holidays.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise campaign performance, ensuring exceptional delivery and providing regular analytical insights to clients.

  • Manage a robust sales pipeline and craft long-term client strategies to consistently meet revenue targets.

  • Ensure accurate financial tracking by logging all campaign revenue securely onto AdPoint.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Proven experience navigating multi-platform sales cycles and securing revenue through direct clients or media agencies.

  • Experience building and nurturing strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, such as CMOs or CEOs, to deeply understand their product mix and commercial objectives.

  • Exceptional communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to present bespoke, compelling multi-channel solutions and negotiate confidently.

  • An analytical mindset, capable of interpreting market trends to plan client immersion sessions and formulate effective, long-term sales strategies.

  • A proactive approach to identifying new commercial opportunities and closing incremental business without waiting for inbound briefs.

  • A collaborative work style to effectively coordinate with internal performance and content teams for seamless campaign execution.

If you think you have what it takes but don’t tick every requirement on the list, please do apply. We recognise that considering someone’s potential as well as their experience is a great way to hire. We want to hear from people who have a passion to learn and develop.
