Job Description

Your team: News UK’s central Data & AI team needs a passionate and forthright Product Manager to own and refine the roadmap and delivery of its core internal insights product for our prestige News subscription brand, The Times. Evolving this newly deployed insights platform is a key strategic priority for the Data team, as there is a critical need from The Times’ newsrooms to utilise accessible, digestible insights, bringing to life News UK’s rich data to provide actionable insights for key data-driven decision making.

Your role: As Product Manager for Data Insights Products, you will be responsible for refining and executing the product strategy for our in-house insights tool, Times ARC. Working at the intersection of design, data science, product, and marketing to drive significant business impact and customer value. Times ARC is in a launch and growth stage, presenting an exciting opportunity to use data to drive decisions and implement features that align with a high-impact product led approach. As part of a change to the way the Data & AI team operate, this role will be embedded deeply within The Times Audience & Editorial teams, helping build a clear understanding of their challenges and shaping the right solutions to meet them.

Day to day you will:

  • Balance short-term feature delivery with long-term newsroom data strategy to maintain clear momentum.

  • Manage the 12-month product roadmap for Times ARC to deliver clarity and alignment for all key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate directly with editorial and audience teams to prioritise features using real user feedback and objective measures.

  • Partner early with delivery, design, and engineering disciplines to ensure clear understanding of requirements.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across News UK to support smooth product rollouts and share best practices.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Proven track record of leading the vision, strategy, and delivery of both customer-facing and internal products, ideally within fast-paced technology or SaaS environments.

  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional software delivery squads alongside design, engineering, and data science disciplines.

  • Proven ownership of end-to-end product lifecycle—from discovery and roadmap definition through launch, iteration, and optimisation—balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

  • Skill in defining success metrics and analysing product performance to make continuous, data-informed improvements.

  • Clear communication style with the ability to articulate product vision, align priorities, and build trust with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • User-first mindset focused on understanding user pain points and translating operational needs into intuitive product features.
