For the right person, this position offers the chance to step into a genuinely varied treasury role, broaden your experience beyond a traditional finance remit, and grow as a senior member of the team while supporting the continued development of the function.
Day to day you will:
-
Review and oversee daily and weekly cash-flow processes, providing clear visibility to UK and US management teams.
-
Present financial insights and cash-flow narratives to News UK management, turning complex numbers into a clear, compelling story.

-
Drive continuous process improvement by exploring and implementing AI capabilities to maximise departmental efficiency.
-
Deputise for the Head of Finance - Treasury when required, providing key leadership support and guidance to the wider team.
What we're looking for from you:
-
Hold a full professional accountancy qualification (such as ACA, CIMA, or ACCA).
-
Exhibit exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a natural ability to build narratives around numbers for senior management.
-
Demonstrate advanced systems savviness and high attention to detail to ensure the absolute accuracy of corporate financial submissions.
-
Possess previous experience collaborating closely with offshore transactional teams, helping to maintain strong daily cross-border operational links.
-
Bring a forward-thinking, innovative mindset with a keen interest in leveraging automation and AI tools to evolve traditional financial workflows.
