Your Team: Times Media houses some of the world’s most trusted and revered news brands, including The Times, The Sunday Times, Times Radio and Times Literary Supplement. Sitting within the wider Customer team, this team is responsible for shaping the pricing dynamics for our subscription business, developing and optimising pricing strategies, tracking performance, experimenting and supporting long-term growth through data-driven insights.

Your Role: As Pricing & Propositions Manager, you will play a pivotal role in executing and optimising the strategy for The Times and The Sunday Times. You will apply a data-driven approach to revenue optimization, ensuring our offers resonate with different audience segments while maintaining brand integrity. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact digital subscription growth by managing the commercial mix across the entire customer lifecycle.

Day to day you will:

  • Deliver compelling, insight-driven propositions to scale subscriber growth and digital revenue.

  • Manage and execute a ‘test and learn’ roadmap, partnering with Subscription Growth and Data & Insight teams to optimise performance through experimentation.

  • Align and implement pricing and packaging strategies across the customer lifecycle to maximise subscriber lifetime value.

  • Utilise and promote robust models to provide actionable insights for long-term revenue growth.

  • Optimise offer structures and billing models to drive conversion and reduce churn.

  • Work closely with Data Science teams to develop models including price propensity and next best offer.

  • Support the delivery of in-life strategies including price changes, discounts, and upgrade paths.

  • Analyse customer behaviours and market trends to underpin proposition decisions.

  • Create robust financial models and business cases for new strategies to ensure recommendations are anchored in commercial reality.

  • Develop end-to-end initiatives from initial concept to go-to-market.

  • Conduct price elasticity analysis to determine optimal price points and predict subscriber response.

  • Support Corporate Sales teams in designing professional-tier packaging and pricing structures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to articulate the logic and commercial value behind new propositions.

  • Coordinate regular meetings to provide governance, tracking, and reporting on performance.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Possess a background in propositions, pricing, or commercial strategy, ideally within a subscription or digital consumer environment.

  • Demonstrate high numeracy with the ability to use data to inform recommendations and optimise performance.

  • Show experience executing cross-functional projects while managing timelines and balancing competing priorities.

  • Show proficiency in building financial models and business cases to support commercial decision-making.

  • Apply knowledge of testing methodologies, such as A/B testing, and track cohort performance.

  • Communicate effectively to manage stakeholders and present data clearly to various teams.

  • Act as a proactive problem solver with a "hands-on" approach to delivering projects.

  • Display resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Maintain a commercial curiosity regarding how different levers impact the wider business.
